Let's see if I can help shine some light.

Drip coffee does have more caffeine than espresso because it takes longer to brew and espresso is usually a dark roast, like Vasco said, and only 20-30 seconds brewing. But, if you compare an 8oz. cup of coffee to 8oz. of espresso, from multiple shots, then the caffeine content is about the same.

Here is a more detailed article to help explain it.

Thanks! Yeah, I think I've come to the conclusion that Coffee (the way it's normally consumed) has much more caffeine. Glad you enjoy the blog!

I'd rather drink out of a ceramic or glass container. Plastic containers tend to absorb the tastes of its contents. Nothing worse than the taste of stale coffee mixed with new.

According to my own research and years of experience drinking coffee, a 2 oz shot of espresso on average does contain less caffeine than 8 oz of coffee since espresso is usually made from darker roasts. Darker roasts have less caffeine. However, espresso has more caffeine per millilitre since it is made with less water.

Judging out of experience, esspreso hits me a lot more then an 8oz cup of drip/pour-over coffee, I don't know any studies though
